Jaysus, just as well I don't be on the cricket...Yep, really strong show from England today. If they can manage the new ball tomorrow, they should have a chance of knocking up a defendable lead.

Hazlewood defo out for Adelaide - they're not even sure he'll be right for "Boxing" Day. No word on who is coming in to replace him. They have to be careful they don't end up too dependent on Cummins - he's also carrying an injury.England did compete well for one of the four days and maybe briefly threatened to do enough for a draw. A sure sign of a superior team and mentality is that they can take a wicket when they need to and Australia did that throughout the two English innings. Warner and Hazelwood are now doubtful for second test which starts on Thurs. Broad and/or Anderson will come in to the England team so the balance may tip. England cannot afford to lose so pressure is all on them.
Tell it like it is, BpT.Wow, so still no sign of Broad and Leach stays on the team sheet. It’s a balls that this is on in the dead of night- every innings is a big one for England this weekend.
That’s some list donY - even Gary Sobers doesn’t make the top 10. Labuschange technically gets in by the top but has had a very short run so far. Bradman’s numbers are eye-watering. Also, Tendulkar played 200 tests for India - onreal.agree with all of this, England have played only two decent sessions both by Root/Malan partnership. btw this list shows what England are up against-just two of the best five test batting averages of all time https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/282910.html
