There was a woman interviewed on the Joe Duffy show today who said that she had intended voting yes but after reading CharlieManson's searing analysis of the proposed referendum wording on the local talkpage scene she changed her mind and voted no on both counts

I was listening to Matt Cooper earlier, he had a couple of female journo commentators on to discuss the referendum results. The No lady was first, pointed out that women in Ireland didn’t need this nonsense, and if anything felt disenfranchised by the proposed change.

Next on was the Yes lady who explained that it wasn’t actually a resounding rejection of the proposal because we shouldn’t really consider the no votes as no’s, but that they just weren’t comfortable with voting yes

It remains to be seen what effect this will have on upcoming elections, Many who have moved to SF in recent years have expressed their anger
at their calling for a Yes vote, The long term SF voter will stay loyal but the influx of new voters in recent years may look towards
independents, It seems some FG TDS have demanded LV explain himself at the next parliamentary meeting,
Lisa Chambers FF says she votes no, We can only take her word for that, Could easily be an effort to distance herself from the fiasco,
