Oh I’ll take the day off gladly but between excess drinking, gambling and the absolute tackiness of parades I think it’s the biggest load of nonsense.

To each their own.
It’s really a day for kids too.
I’m a few weeks into a health kick and not drinking and got the hell out of the city before the parade began.
Fair enough on the gambling though.

Funny that I saw a young lad and said "lol that kid is wearing a Mayo jersey" and then saw the Clonakilty crest when I got closer

I thought the parade was great tbf.
There were lovely free events for kids in both Nano Nagle place and the Crawford today, and I think they are on tomorrow and Sunday too.
Nice vibe around town while we were in there (from about 1 to 5)
