Cyclists

perhaps you are correct. but my point is that rightobike knows this and continues to cycle in a way that really annoys alot of drivers. there is only going to be one person hurt in a collision and that is the cyclist.
He is the same cyclist that goes down purposely on the cycle lane on the left side of Parnell Place towards Merchants Quay, where he knows car drivers who may not be attentive, go across the cycle lane in order to drive into the multi storey car park.
The hero is on a mission.
I thought perhaps he might have learned a lesson from his own and alone accident on the Ballea Road in Carrigaline, shame common sense just is not so common.

Spot on.

So he is responsible for the bad driving there as well. Why aren't the car drivers attentive? Know their surroundings?
"Drivers aren't attentive but it's the cyclists fault"
I've heard it all now. :lol!: :lol!:

Wait, what?

Are you actually saying he's a reckless cyclist for cycling in a cycle lane?

No, I am not at all saying that.

A fella cycles from his home in Carrigaline to his business premises in a Fried Chicken Premises on Cook Street.
Logic would suggest of course that route would be the most direct and " safest " one.
But for whatever reason he is and has many times, self filmed himself there on Parnell Place.

Again I have no issues whatsoever with cyclists using cycling lanes, infairness to those that do.

However our hero is constantly on a crusade to show cyclists being victimised

While those of us who are used to driving in urban areas are familiar with cycle lanes, the same cannot be said for those not from the city and perhaps living in rural areas who come to the city centre and choose to use that multi storey car park.

Of course the hero is aware of what is probably a design flaw and an unfamiliar change for many people who may have not driven into that multi storey in a while.

The bottom line here is, he is looking for footage, likes and attention from the idiots out there who are incapable of seeing the mentality and game the individual is and is playing.

My Dad gave me a great piece of advice when I was learning how to drive. If at all possible anticipate the mistakes of others and adjust your behaviour accordingly.

I have often cycled that stretch between South Mall and Merchants Quay and when I come to the car park I always look right for a left turning car and if I can I give away my right of way. I shouldn’t have to but if it keeps me safer and prevents an altercation then it’s a very minor inconvenience to continue going about my day.

It is his type that is giving responsible cyclists a bad rep.
