Cork Minor Hurling 2023

Big opportunity for Cork tomorrow night. Win and they will be in a very strong position to finish in the top three after the round robin. Lose and they would have to get at least one win from what look to be two tough away games.

Tipp have made one change to their team. Highlights from their game against Clare here: https://munster.gaa.ie/event/2023-e...minor-championship-round-1-clare-v-tipperary/

Obviously you can't tell much from limited clips of a match, but I noticed that both Clare goals came from strong running directly at the Tipp defence. Interestingly, few if any of Cork's scores against Waterford came from direct runs like this
- Cork were much happier to leave the ball directly inside. It will be interesting to see if Fraggy will encourage the half-forwards or midfielders to carry the ball a little more, and conversely if Tipp will keep an extra defender deep to cover their FB line and in particular stop the supply of ball in to O'Flynn.

Roughly , 12 East , 5 City , 4 North and a sprinkling from Mid division . Seems the GDAS are prominent in East or have the sway . I am a firm believer that the County board should have a presence in North Mon , CBC , Colmans , Midelton , Rochestown & Youghal and any other school that promote hurling etc . Sterner test tonight . Midelton beaten by a cricket score this year by Thurles in Harty cup semi final and hopefully the tide will be turned tonight V Tipp .
