If someone had said to you coming out of Thurles after the Clare game that we’d beat Waterford reasonably comfortably in Walsh Park and then qualify by giving Tipp a hiding you’d have assumed they were on drugs.

Enormous credit due to the players and management. Still not the finished article but you can’t ask for more than what they’ve put in the last two days.

Excellent Win. Hoggie is an impact sub for me. Would like to see him coming on with 20 mins to go, against tiring defenders.

Fair play to the lads. 2 very good performances in a row. Mixed up the short game with direct ball again today.

Only small gripe is I'd prefer to see Connolly get a little more ball. He's deadly dangerous inside.

Lehane outstanding. Playing great stuff last two games.

Slow start. Penalty a big difference and Cork made a good switch with Downey and Cahalane who both played well again afterwards.

A game where Tipp were dire in all fairness and we won pulling up. We'll take it!

Subs made an impact but it was a good game to come into. I wouldn't read too much into it.
