Cork Footballers

Watched the Clare cork game.. both teams with a nice few wides for a good conditions and a good few dropped short as well.. early on clare had a lot of men behind the ball and cork showed great patience for one Sherlock score, worked the ball lovely no panic played the ball through the hands until it opened up and a couple lads broke the line.. Chris Og didn’t seem to get on much ball for a good tricky footballer but like that very compact inside for the most part but took his goal well.. John o rourke seems to be playing defensive at the centre forward position which suits because he did some tough work in defence but it’d be nice to see a link man in centre, an outlet for the backs in turnovers with a bit of powerful running and a good pass to match the likes of what the Kerry’s and dublins have at the position, maybe training Corbett in there for the year with Sherlock and Hurley inside and o Mahoney and Chris og fighting it out for the last spot. Colm o Callaghan won a lot of kick outs and good kick passes into the inside forwards, delighted to see he’s found a place in midfield where he can use his size and football, and can get into the game all over rather than stuck out on the wing.. great to see Taylor back as well was powerful going forward.. Sherlock with some good scores again. Good win ticked the box, would be nice to see them being a bit more ruthless and tidy up the wides but a nice win in a tough place to go

There legitimately couldn’t be a soul with less of a dog in this fight but this thread is a miserable read with all the trolling about Clon from Fox Leary. For the love of God please give it a rest.
Fully agreed, the endless sniping at Clon and attempted trolling of myself and Trav is tiresome. Let’s get back to discussing all things Cork.

On that point, great win today, very encouraging to see Chris Og playing so well along with Sherlock, some nice options developing up front. Good competition for places, particularly with the likes of Clancy, Liam OD, Kevin OD and Powter to come back into the team.

Does anyone know how many minutes MTU players from the bench played? They are out again Tuesday and UCC Wednesday, please god we won’t get any injuries from the tough schedule for IC college players
