Bus Eireann

Does every Expressway service have a functioning jacks on it these days?

I usually take the train but would love a bus journey one of these days. Headphones in, sit back and watch the countryside go by

In what year were the conductors made redundant? Id say late 80s
Sounds about right to maybe. Early 99s at the latest I'd say.

Also @MerchantOfEnnis I know Aircoach have toilets, but not sure about expressway. About 7 or 8 years ago I used them to get a bus to Dublin. Thinking that expressway would have a Jack's in 2018 like all normal operators I had a few pints before getting on the bus.

The next 4 hours or so.....

Take that to the Grab All Association of the Sports Forum.
This is not the first time at all that Cork is getting cast aways from Limerick.
Around 22 of the existing VWD's in Cork started out in Limerick and most of them are carrying L regs.

The logic here is, the hills in Cork are a nightmare for any other technologies other than diesel engines for now.
So when the PAD's were new in 2021 they were allocated to Galway, Cork got their VWD's.
Then the PAD's were delivered to Limerick in 2022, Cork then got their VWD's.
I’d say you’re a great laugh parties 🎉

Bit later, Deco was a bus conductor in the commitments that was 91

I remember some of the drivers were on an old contract that mandated a conductor right into the early 00s but they were few and far between.

Yer man would just sit down the back with the big yoke around his neck while the driver still took the cash at the door
