2024 Junior A Football Championship

Really fancy either barryroe or kilmacabea to win it out this year really think which ever one of them comes out of west cork division will win it out

I think Aghinagh will really give it a lash this year, now or never for them , really impressive what they are doing in league and have some super players. People say they are aging yet they have some nice young players here and there. The likes of Ambrose , Twohig , and O’Sullivan have the experience to see it out.

Michael's 2nd team are junior A and playing County league division 7
They are in division 6. Won division 7 last year beating Aghinagh in the final, subsequently going on to be relegated from the premier junior losing to Kinsale. You'd imagine it is between them and Mayfield for the Junior A city this year.

Heard banteer are supposed to be strong this year after 3 or 4 have came back from traveling be interesting to see what there like now
Banteer play the hurling and Lyre play the football in that parish. Castlemagner will be hot favourites. There is very little left in the Duhallow division to trouble them.

the Carbery championship is very hard to call compared to some of the others. Barryroe only barely beat a good few teams on their winning run last year. The age profile of the team means they should have a good chance of winning it again though.

Barryroe, Kilmac, Argideen should all be thereabouts with St Colums and Kilmeen being dark horses. The loss of BOD for Tadhg Macs will be felt I think.

It’s a wide open county championship. A second team or a hurling first team could come strong in the latter stages if they were to be knocked out in hurling. Besides that Aghinagh, Castlemagner, Inniscarra, Ballygarvan, Killavullen and Mayfield would all have to be in the conversation as well as the Carbery champs
