Tidal pool in Cork

Until fairly recently I always thought it was a "man-made" beach but I've been told that it's a natural beach. Very busy place on a sunny summer weekend.

I went down there a Friday in August last summer and the traffic was horrendous.
There’s a full tide around 1pm tomorrow I’ll give it a bash

Dock is always a good spot - albeit less of a hidden gem than it used to be.

Think it's a tad colder than the ocean there though due to it technically still being part of the Bandon River before it turns the corner to the sea.

Great quality in those photos though - if it's not a camera that must be some doozy of a camera phone

The water has less salt content as a result also

Yeah I can also confirm, the reason it is not good for my fish tank.

Simons cove with the tide fully out. Beautiful pools for snorkelling or just for taking a dip. The rocks act as protection from the sea too.
