We were always told it was every 7th wave?Yet again, and back to some sense of normality(?), a container ship leaving Cork Harbour today. Taken from Graball, under Camden this early afternoon. The incoming tide was mighty. I forgot about the 13 rule, apparently every 13 waves is a big one. Don't know if it's true or not but I was soaked, up to my knees.

Per the RNLIWe were always told it was every 7th wave?
Correct, That's actually the number I heard too. Whether it's real or not. I've never been great with numbers, I've been 22 for a number of decades, in my head. I was probably fixated on unlucky 13.We were always told it was every 7th wave?
I didn't know that about it being part of the river. Very interesting!Dock is always a good spot - albeit less of a hidden gem than it used to be.
Think it's a tad colder than the ocean there though due to it technically still being part of the Bandon River before it turns the corner to the sea.
Great quality in those photos though - if it's not a camera that must be some doozy of a camera phone
