Italy will mathematically secure an extra Champions League spot if Fiorentina win and Atalanta don’t lose next week. Depending on the other results of German and English clubs, even less than that could be needed.

Key thing is there are two spots up for grabs.

England have 5 teams still in contention, but that looks likely to drop by at least 2 after this round. Germany have 3.

After the group stages a win is worth the same (in coefficient points) in each of the 3 comps, so the likely exits of West Ham & Liverpool really hurt the PL.

Dortmund & Bayern being kept apart (while Arsenal & City being drawn on the same side) further helps Germany.

The outcome of Arsenal v Bayern will play a big part, but it looks like advantage Germany unless Villa and City/Arsenal make the final.

I couldn’t care less as long as every pundit bring something to the table. Some do some don’t regardless of gender or colour
