The Premier League Thread 23/24

I don't think so. But having two such serious incidents is clearly very worrying. Big decisions ahead him him, his family, his club etc.

I spoke to someone close to the club who said that he has passed the first of a set of 3 checks with heart specialists, so a return to football isn't off the table yet.

Unai "my teams will always be found out defensively" Emery getting his hole opened again.

I find it a little odd that KDB is favourite for this.

Sure he's a fabulous player and when he played he was quite impactful - mostly through assists and, more than usually, off the bench.

But he only played ~35% of the possible minutes in the PL season. Such a low proportion must surely be close to a deal-breaker for such an award?

FWIW I think it should be Rodri this year. Played a high % of minutes, was largely excellent and his loss was keenly felt in most games that he wasn't available for. Also, 17 goals+assists is a serious haul for a guy whose main job is to mind house.

If it's not him then I'd have Foden ahead of KDB. 27 G+A and seemed to kick into gear at the business end.
