Been an encouraging year for McIlroy in the majors. He's been actually contending, as opposed to back door top tens.

that 18th seems very harmless, was it here that van der Velde blew it in 99? another one gets away from Rory, in fairness Smith has been contending in a few majors recently, also the winner is almost always the one from the leading group who suddenly finds a few putts dropping on the back nine and today that was him.

That was Carnoustie I think.

Cam Smith is a putting machine probably the worse guy you want chasing you. Handily for him he had his masters wobble on the Saturday this weekend.

Mcilroy will win more, I’m convinced of that but he’ll do it chasing.


Feel sad for Young too, didn’t get a word all day, we’re equally to blame here. Imagine getting an eagle on the 18th and watching the guy you caught walk up to a tap in birdie.

He signed a contract on becoming Captain and if he joins LIV he breaks it. No much the DP Tour can do but strip him.
