The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

Generally, I don't criticise younger players because they obviously lack the vital experience.

However, I don't see the progress required from our younger/academy backs.

Coughlan didn't impress me. Lots of people really like McCarthy and we've seen some really good things but he has a very long way to go - takes wrong options and v poor defensively- he's had a lot of game time and we need more improvement

I don't see Butler, Campbell or Ben O Connor making the grade.

Hope I'm wrong about this

Our forwards, in contrast, look exceptionally promising

I agree on Butler, Campbell's injury has definitely hampered his progress, but you're judging O'Connor way too early.

I agree that Campbell has been really hampered by the shoulder problem but I haven't seen anything to indicate he'll make it.

I'm possibly judging BOC too early but I was really disappointed with his performance for Munster A v Leinster A.

Hopefully he'll impress at some stage
