The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

Burns isn’t great but will do a job and hopefully isn’t as injury prone as carberry was

Hope to see the likes of edogbo, ahern, Quinn and Gleeson really push on this season.

No score from Munster in the second half of that game.
Are we going to see that now like a hallmark 🫣.

Here is a link to yesterday's game :

I was impressed with Shay McCarthy and Campbell Campbell needed to make an impression after an injury hit season- he did IMO Burns looked composed. Kicked well off the tee. Decent pro. Farrell showed some nice touches

Burns will be ok for the ordinary games, but we need to keep Crowley fit for the games that really matters.

The Munster squad are preparing at the HPC ahead of Saturday’s BKT URC opener against Connacht at Thomond Park.

The game kicks off at 5.30pm with tickets available here.

There is good news for Jean Kleyn (eye) & Ethan Coughlan (leg) as they have returned to full training. Kleyn returns having missed the majority of last season while Coughlan has recovered from an injury sustained against Bath last month.

Liam Coombes and Jack Daly will look to complete the return to play protocols with a view to a full return to training this week. The duo were both removed following head injuries against Gloucester earlier this month.

Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder) is increasing his training load with a view to returning to full team training.

Diarmuid Kilgallen will undergo a period of rehabilitation with the medical department for a leg injury.

Continuing to rehab: Brian Gleeson (shoulder), Cian Hurley (knee), Tom Ahern (ankle), Rory Scannell (ankle), Paddy Patterson (knee), Edwin Edogbo (achilles), Roman Salanoa (knee).
