The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

I'd be pretty annoyed if I was a Chiefs fan, Munster have nicked their head coach and Team manager.

That said, they have got Jono Gibbs as one of the coaches, considering what he achieved at La Rochelle, I suspect he'd be a decent head coach replacement.

This matters a hit less these days but pool 2 it is

Say it every year, but I despise the format.
Bath and Toulon are good, but the format means a win and losing bonus points is fine. Which is pretty shite.
It'll come down to home and away, if Munster have Bath and Toulon away with Castres and Gloucester at home, should be a pretty straightforward route to the knock outs. If it's the inverse, then it's a bloody hard slog to win any matches at all.

It appears that the regulations have a secret clause that means Leinster have to play La Rochelle annually.

The format is dreadful but the French and English clubs wanted less games.

Gloucester at home Dec 13th in PUC

Some sad state of affairs when renting out a stadium in another city brings in more profit than having a game in the "home of Munster rugby" because they can't even fill that smaller stadium in Munster HQ.

Nobody, and I do mean nobody, could have foreseen headquartering your team in a smaller, inaccessible city could lead to this.
