Never reffed offsideAgreed. Thought Piardi was generally poor, but that's an abysmal mistake to make in such a critical match for Munster

Thought at least one of the crooked lineout calls was wrong, would have questioned his reffing of the scrum and there were a few high hits that deserved at least a penaltyNever reffed offside
It's just basic knowledge really, to the extent you stop the game for a second and ask for clarification on the requirement for the scrum. Some TMOs are happy to jump I for every little thing, in La Rochelle the TMO was calling knock ons for Piardi. Not much of a ref anyway, that is one thing for sure.
I mean if you are doing your job properly then you should know it inside out.
You can't do a crooked throw beyond the 15, whether they challenge or not. You're correct about everything else. Piardi not knowing the rules is pathetic.Piardi is a professional referee.
He does not have a decent knowledge of the laws/rules of the game.
He forced us to play 14 mins with 14 men.
He failed to disallow their try when they fouled the tap and go
He called a crooked throw against us even though Bulls didn't compete.
It's an absolute farce to have vital games decided on gross incompetence.
Players, management and supporters deserve better.
Piardi and tge TMO must be fired.
Oh, well that's fine, so.Piardi will not ref next weekend, that'll teach him:

Italian referee Andrea Piardi will not officiate a United Rugby Championship fixture this weekend after his handling of Munster v Bulls.www.planetrugby.com
He'll be one of the officials for either of the European finals or URC final. Mark my words.Oh, well that's fine, so.
