If you think that sanctions on Russia are causing any serious problems to the US or Europe, you're simply dreaming. Russia is controlling the battlefield right now, the entire Luhansk region has been liberated, the Donetsk region is getting close to also getting liberated, in the past three days barrage after barrage of cruise missiles are taking out multiple military targets in Odessa and Nikolaev, the Ukrainian Forces are getting decimated and are reduced to making "tactical" withdrawals.

You're too used to the Yanks method of 'shock and awe' and just go in and carpet bomb everything, Russia doesn't seem to be in a hurry, they're still using the same mobilisation they started with in February while Ukraine is on it's seventh one. Why hurry? just let the US and NATO deplete their stockpiles, let the EU suffer a winter of discontent, already the protests are starting along with the cutbacks.

Which is why it has such a low standard of living compared to most of the rest of the world. The real question is how a country as economically backward as Russia can yield so many billionaires.
