Very important because it controls the estuary of the Dinipro and the Ukrainians are now across the Dnipro and can open another front on the Russians from the south. On another point landed in Cherbourg yesterday and saw some serious looking armoured naval boats being constructed in a boatyard there. These looked suitable for inshore and river use.Kinburn peninsula sounds almost like a place in County Clare if I'm honest.
