Gangs of Russian Ultra football hooligans have pledged to bring further chaos to Euro 2016 following two days of violence involving England fans ahead of their opening match.
Wearing mainly black, and covering their faces at times, the Russian ultras could be seen attacking extremely drunk men from the UK.
The scenes in the French port city are a repeat of the violence when England fans last visited in 1998.
"We’ve only just started," said a 28-year-old originally from Moscow who asked to be identified only as Dmitri.
"Saturday is the big day, and many proud Russian fans will be ready for action against those threatening us," he added.
There is a large and extremely rich expat Russian community living on the Riviera, and some could be seen arriving in Marseille in convertible sports cars.
Others were set to fly in from their home country, causing a huge security headache for police as they struggled to cope with up to 10,000 England supporters.
Ugly scenes have broken out continually near the Queen Victoria and O’Mally’s pubs in the Old Port area of Marseille.
Earlier on Saturday, fighting was still going on, as elite CRS riot officers used tear gas and baton charges to restore order.

Many of the gangs involved darted away up alleyways after launching attacks on England fans congregating on bar terraces as they sang nationalistic songs, including pro-Brexit and anti-Irish ones.
Russians who targeted the English appeared to be highly organised, as they attempted karate moves and singled out individuals for beatings.
One hooligan said England fans were "too old, fat and drunk" to put up a decent fight against them.
