Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Cranky made insinuations and comments of a personal nature about PR after the Waterford game.
Setting the bar for what's acceptable criticism based on PR not getting torn asunder on X or Facebook - classy.

I'm free to challenge what I see as criticism that crosses the line into personal spite.

"It's time we stopped excusing Management" how about you speak for yourself?
You don't represent the Cork supporting public.
You're right to challenge anyone I never said you weren't.
I gave examples of how 2 of the previous managers were held to higher standards.
Pat Ryan and his management team have been excused all this season and last (I will give him the benefit of doubt for last year)
Most of the players Sunday as I said died in their boots Sunday, did one or two of them have a bad game? Yes it happens that happens. It's up to management to make that change whether it's tactically or taking a player off.
Blaming 1 or 2 or 3 players for the loss Sunday is not one bit fair.
At the end of day the management instruct tactics and positions and subs. The management simply got some tactics and positions wrong.
Pa Collins is not solely to blame for the loss of puckouts (maybe a handful) but where were the ball winners?
If we do not acknowledge the core issues the merry go round will continue to go around.

You're right I don't represent the Cork Supporting Public but a lot of people agree me and some people agree with you and that's a matter of opinion. We all have one.

All for young fellas having craic we were all there.
But the carry on out of 16 year olds over the last few years are inexcusable.
Drinking bottles of vodka before a match, when I was that age if we snuck a few pints we were delighted.
The carry on with flares and smoke bombs are now a disgrace, when they see Guards running at them they THROW THE FLARES ONTOP OF THEIR FELLOW SUPPORTERS IN FRONT OF THEM.
I saw several people being escorted by security/first aid down the tunnel at Blackrock End/North Stand to receive treatment for smoke inhalition or burn marks.

Due to their carry on the bars in turn are closed in the Terraces as proactive measure to try deal with it, this is actually losing Cork GAA profit. A few hundred teenagers are the reason few thousand adults can't get a pint in the Terraces.
Few hundred teenagers outside the ground trying to get in cause they didn't have a ticket for Blackrock end.
I bet now during the winter you were complaining about the gaa’s lack of spreading the game, but now you basically want to ban kids from going to the games which will kill the game completely in 10 years.

Young lads have every reason not to follow their county with the amount of other sports being seriously pushed all over the country.

On safety concerns, I was in the same terrace and the only people I could see getting “helped” out the tunnel were the kids who sneaked in the pyros themselves.

Jesus talk about putting words in my mouth 🤣 🤣
I never said ban them at all.
I was on the terrace I saw 4 people of all ages being brought down the tunnel who were crying, one person with and the whole side of their face and neck was scalded red. The lads who got escorted out by the Guards went down the nearest tunnel and they definitely were not aided by St. John's Ambulance.

How you're trying to spin it on me trying to suggest I said ban them is ridiculous. What if that was your son or daughter, brother or sister who got a belt of a smoke bomb/flare. Would you not be concerned with that?
I think flares and smoke bombs create atmosphere and add to the occasion.
My issue is them throwing them down ontop of their fellow supporters.

I've no issue with young fellas having a few drinks and setting off flares once they've a bit of cop on.
There was no cop on, Sunday.

Lads the proverbial bear pit that is supposedly the munster hurling championship sadly isn't,the quality of Cork Waterford and Tipp is really poor,Clare aren't a whole lot better,Limerick aside there isn't any team that would beat Kilkenny or Galway, don't spit you're dummies out now fellas I'm just stating facts,Clare will probably make up the numbers in the semi final again but they will struggle to perform wearing dirty nappies terrified of the sight of the great Páirc an Chrócaigh and Cill Cheannaigh.

How about this for another fact. So far this decade the only Munster team Kilkenny have beaten in championship is Clare.
2020 beaten by Waterford
2021 beaten by Cork
2022 beat Clare beaten by Limerick
2023 beat Clare beaten by Limerick.

WUM here all you want but if some of you Kilkenny boys love hurling as much as ye profess then ye and everybody else should be very concerned about the state of the game particularly in Leinster, where the lopsided nature of the championship gives yerselves and Galway effectively a free pass into the knock out stages every year.
