Exactly. Was Cork's own fault. Did nothing to dissuade Kerry from keeping the ball. 5mins to go should have pressed. Easier said than done, a lot of lads dead on their feet!Kerry played cork like a clock for the last 10 minutes, kept the ball and cork are coached to within an inch of their life, meanwhile cork when they got a chance couldn’t execute a simple hand pass and its breaks and game gone, Kerry delighted got a great test
They’ll win a Munster championship while cork will win nothing unfortunately, lots of effort but the lack of thought or plan for the last number of minutes when Kerry has the ball was shockingKerry will win fuck all
Hard to see how both of those can be true at the same time. If they’d pushed out on Kerry in those minutes they probably concede a score and go out of range. The counter agreement is that setting up the way they did in that period of the game put them in the position where they were a poorly executed handpass away from drawing the game.Kerry played cork like a clock for the last 10 minutes, kept the ball and cork are coached to within an inch of their life, meanwhile cork when they got a chance couldn’t execute a simple hand pass and its breaks and game gone, Kerry delighted got a great test
You’re fucking slating the team all year it’s getting fucking tiring. They’ll win a Munster championship while cork will win nothing unfortunately, lots of effort but the lack of thought or plan for the last number of minutes when Kerry has the ball was shocking
If Cork were 2 points up and did that we'd see no issue with it either. Problem is Cork wouldn't be allowed do that by Kerry or any other team at a high level. When good teams do it it's "taking the sting out of the game"; when others do it it's "ah jaysis this is fucking shocking shite".
As ever was.
The most annoying thing about that game was the Fucken plaudits these fellas hand out
to Cork. Great effort blah blah, the game was there for the taking. We didn’t trust ourselves to keep pushing up and if we didn’t have Brian Hurley we would have been dead and buried first half.
