Cork Footballers

Kevin was as tough defender ,a great gentleman off the field an all star in 1983 along with clubmate T Crowley ,Afaik Newestown are one of only 2 clubs to have a player on both all star teams in the same year. May he rest in peace.

There weren't many that could limit Liston at the time, with the likes of Jack O'Shea delivering pin-point long ball in on top of him, Egan & Sheehy lurking for the break, and Spillane, Power, & Moran running into the space they had withdrawn from. And no such thing as a sweeper. Kevin was a great footballer. More importantly: condolences to his family on their loss.

From Limerick I travelled as a young kid with my Dad whose origins were Kerry and his Cork pal to manys the great game back in the 70s between Cork and Kerry.
Remembering back they were great days ,some fantastic footballers and Kevin Kehily was right up there with them .
Condolences to his family friends ,may he RIP.
