I would have selected Ruairi Deane to start instead of O'Driscoll, P. Walsh or Maguire with Powter going deeper as protection against the Kerry attack.

Tommy Walsh centre-back and Shanley starting in the corner is the way to go with a more mobile rearguard but one would think it should have been tried earlier. When Walsh was at 6 for the U-20's last year he didn't play well here's hoping he stands out today.
