Nobody seems to be factoring in National psyche into these considerations of "what works on the continent must surely work in Ireland"
why shouldn't it work if and a big if implemented properly ?

ok good, one
a few more per chance
why shouldn't it work if and a big if implemented properly ?
One??????????????????????????
Do you even cycle in Cork??
There's similar to be seen on South Main Street; Lancaster Quay; Proby's Quay; Pope's Quay and Sullivan's Quay and that's just off the top of my head
It is unlikely to work because unlike with their counterparts on the continent, the gardai are very unlikely to police it properly.
Do you think you'd be more likely to get away with no bell on your bike/insufficient lighting/breaking traffic lights/going wrong way up one way streets/cycling on footpaths etc in Ireland or on the continent?
Don't see too many cyclists being pulled over for that here either.
Although, they did fine 40+ people for passing on the inside of a tram at a stop (gap between footpath and door of tram) a few months ago.
Leave him Drucker - he and Honky clearly haven't a bulls notion about cycling in Cork
