I actually saw a van from Cork fire brigade parked in that cycle lane. Where would ya get it lads!!

No. It was just parked there in a line of other illegally parked cars. Might have been getting a battered sausage in Dennehy's or putting a few quid on the 2:30 at sandown in Paddy Powers.

So you can state with out doubt that there was no emergency that needed the fire vehicle parked in such an area? How did you come by this information?

Wonder if the minimum pass distance counts for mopeds and motorbikes as well. Their drivers can nudge the back wheel of cyclists you know ;-)

This 1M and 1.5M minimum passing will become unworkable if cyclists aren't prevailed upon to stay in near the edge of the road rather than cycling up the middle. Be careful what you wish for lads

contra flow cycle lanes on one way streets, seems to work well in Brussels.

Streets too narrow in cork city for this to be feasible ?
