Batsh*t Crazy Green Party

Any update on from Ryan on the roll out of suburban rail between Cork and Mallow and feeder stations along the line obviating the need for people in commuter towns and villages to bring their cars into the city? This has been in planning for well over 20 years at this stage after two sessions of the Greens being in government in the interim. Still not happening any time soon.

The dublin-centric **** was on Morning Ireland this morning saying that the Metro is a must for dublin and wittering on about terenure and eventually going out to tallaght etc. They've got the DART and LUAS for forty and twenty years respectively, and he's now pushing The Metro for them. Meanwhile Cork suburban rail is STILL showing nada on the ground.

Ryan being made the Minister for Transport is as bizarre as having Harold Shipman Minister for the Elderly 😔

You do realise that that those in The Pale only care about The Pale.
The rest of the country are only "Muckers" to them.

Who was Minister in the years before Eamon Ryan? All FG and FF.

Why didnt they do anything about public transport in Cork?

When was the railway line reestablished to Midleton ?
When was all the new bus routes set up, such as the 220 ?
If you are saying there has been no improvement in Public Transport at all, you need to get your facts right.

Greens have been in Government for 8 of the last 20 years when this very obvious Public Transport facility was supposed to be brought on-line (pardon the pun).

And still nada has happened. And still Eamon Ryan pontificates about how it's bad for the planet that people aren't using public transport. The clown isn't even willing/able to avail of low-hanging fruit of the Cork-Mallow railway line FFS.

Peadar Tobin was on RTE this morning saying the government take in 3.8 billion on taxes on petrol and diesel. If tomorrow we all decide to buy electric cars the government will then have to find this 3..8 billion somewhere ,more that likely by increasing the price of electricity which will effect the motorist but also those without cars.

Parts of Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme have commenced, these were prioritised by the NRRP
The through track in Kent is under construction
The twin track for Midleton went out to tender last month and
they hope to start in the summer.
The signalling and communications upgrade work started in January.
To be completed Oct 2026
Proposed new stations at Blarney/Stoneview, Monard, Blackpool/Kilbarry, Tivoli, Dunkettle, Carrigtwohill West, Water Rock, and Ballynoe are at the design stage.

Not good enough for Soundman and his band of nitpicking negative crew. All this should have been built 20 years ago, the very first year the Green entered government for the very first time.
