Went up a mountain yesterday..

Just god to talk to in your head while walking in his creation, feeling the wind that parts the clouds and fog to reveal more of his splendor.
The promise of a warm mug of tea at the top as you look out over the horizon at the majesty of it all.
Then the realisation that you have to go back down again and you're knackered.
I'll leave it to the younger whippersnappers thank you.

I remember climbing that in similar conditions years ago, nearly lost my boot in the bog!

One of the boggiest, most waterlogged places I’ve hiked, that and the knockmealdowns.

Fairly boggy alright. They've carried out some improvements on the Black Road path but it's obviously still a place for gaiters.
