We should not be making any grand announcements on this subject - we need to keep US arms going to Ua for as long as possible and keep NATO intact for now. However, privately, other nations need to start planning to establish a mechanism to preserve world order without input from the US.

NATO is on life support and we need to work towards US expulsion - we need a new military alliance based on the Ramstein Alliance (minus US)

One could argue that US will eventually come to it's senses and move on from MAGA and Trumpism but that's a dangerous assumption. We must deal with the position as it is now and plan accordingly.

This has profound effects on Ireland. We probably can no longer rely on US investment to underpin our economy. Can we retain a Pharma Industry ?

We are seeing the most consequential redrawing of the world order since WW2. I don't think that we should be doing deals with China to fill the gap of US withdrawal. IMO - we must find a way to deal with the Axis of Evil (China, Ru, Iran, N Korea) and accept that US is more foe than ally.
