The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Someone needs to haul Ronan Kelleher onto the training pitch and rid him of some nasty ball handling habits/decision making when he’s tackled to the ground.
His handling on the ground cost Ireland the rwc qf (twice, once held up over the line by Barrett and then the final play turnover by whitelock) and yesterday, just after they drew level at 15-15, he gets turned over and concedes a penalty on the ground to Arnold right on the Toulouse 22 to try and go and lead the game for the first time.
I fully believe if rob herring came on in that rwc qf, he would have dotted down that try ala the third test in the 2022 NZ series. Herring proved himself in multiple games in the lead up to the rwc then Farrell dumps him.

Not sure how clever it is to put Keenan into the sevens team, Ireland are playing in SA the first two Saturdays in July and only then will the players who went to RWC have a proper holiday, first in abolut 13 months I guess. Rugby at the Olympics goes on to early August.
