The Official Celtic Thread

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
How often does he drink there, weekly, monthly, once a year? Where does he live?
If you want to stalk him go right ahead but don't you think being in a place like that as a professional referee even once is once too many, especially in the immediate wake of his controversial handling of a TRFC game against Celtic?

 Seriously????

Beaton gave 10 frees to Celtic and 23 to the huns I think. That's some stat even by Beaton's "standard". The fact that he let Iwata be "tackled" knee high with no effort at or contact with the ball mere yards away from him (in the build up to the subsequently disallowed goal) and waved play on summed Beaton up. On a couple of occasions huns lay on the ball and then grabbed it and Beaton then blew for a free to them instead of a handball free for Celtic. The amount of diving that their portuguese flop indulged in was astounding. Beaton awarded four yellow cards to Celtic players, including one to Khun for his first foul which was the merest of pull-backs, yet he failed to card a hun who was guilty of precisely the same later in the game.

Beaton has form. He's a hun who drinks in the Crown Bar in Bellshill that even has a hun supporters club FFS.

Can you imagine a Manchester United fan being allowed ref the game between Manchester United and Liverpool?
Yes seriously. In Ibrox, he waved on the Iwata tackle and they scored an equaliser and then went over to the monitor and disallowed it. I was amazed. His mistake against Celtic was the pen. But some of the free decisions were very soft for Celtic.
I am not doubting what you're saying about him but I actually thought Pen aside he was alright......given the usual Sevco slant these things tend to take.......

Celtic should have been out of sight anyway by the time the non pen was given.

You'd think they'd be able to settle it at Parkhead now. But honestly the way they've been playing last few weeks I'm not so sure.

You're wasting your time. CS has comprehensively dealt with the conspiracy nuts on this thread already. It's going on for years now and nothing will change.
Imagine you are a Rangers fan because you are photographed once in a pub where you live. These fools are beyond help
:lol!:

Sorry Proc but if you seriously think that Beaton gave Celtic very soft frees (10 or 11 in the entire game) it's not borne out by the number of fouls by huns on Celts that he left go scot free. Beaton didn't go over to the monitor to disallow it, he had to be called over to the monitor by VAR to award a free to Celtic that was as plain as day for anyone to see had happened, and he was only a couple of yards away from the incident but waved play on.

The only time I'd expect Beaton to give Celtic a soft free is in order to call back the play and stop an advantage accruing.

Below include the fall-down-and-catch-the-ball incidents I previously referred to. And the sliding tackle foul which again got no censure. I think any fair minded viewing of that game would show that Beaton did not ref it according to the rules of the game.

And speaking of the rules of the game - in Scotland some refs seem to have their own interpretation that varies depending on who it is being applied to.

Suppose an attacker is running through with the ball, and a defender tackles him and succeeds in diverting the ball away without touching the attacker. After which the attacker subsequently throws himself down into the outstretched leg of the defender - is that a penalty or is it not? The reason I ask is I've seen them given for one team, and not given for others.

That Goldson one was a shambles. He gave that as a free but needed VAR to tell him there was a foul right in front of his face.

Head injury to a Celtic player... keep playing until his team loses the ball.

it took him over 20 minutes to award Celtic a single free..... 20 minutes... cray²

Timewasting and diving throughout the entirety of the first half made it really frustrating. Celtic weren't good either. A much better second half. Reo settled whatever nerves there were and the second half performance was really good. First time I've seen Celtic make 6 subs. St Mirren had a concussion sub which allowed both teams to make 6 changes. Peter Grant on commentary didn't know this.... nor did anyone on the wireless.... 1-0 Hatate https://streamin.one/v/29c94cf9 2-0 Kyogo https://streamin.one/v/350fd060 3-0 Idah https://streamin.one/v/33d5f76d
