The next Government

Who will form the next government

  • Total voters
    56
  • Poll closed .
Not a hope her seat is safe.
Holly is going out with Tim Looneys son .
Tim owns the west cork hotel skibbereen. I had a meal there once and was first class. This hotel is extremely popular with locals and their loyalty to Tim and his son will ensure that Holly will get all the votes of the patrons of the hotel and their relatives and friends.
Wouldn't be too sure, FG are running Tim Lombard and the Shinnertards have popular candidate in Ciara o Callaghan, she will be fighting for third seat after Christopher O'Sullivan and Michael Collins

Christopher o sullivan will loose out.
Christopher who is Holly's Ex has got married to a girl from Wexford. There's probably a fair bit of resentment that he married someone from outside the area. She also probably has no local connections which does not help.

When full details of Shinner cover up re paedo case in Stormont come to light they may not be in the running for as many seats as they think.

O'Sullivan is well liked and involved in everything down there and no one gives a stuttering fock as to who marries who in West Cork.

It is not Kanturk or Mallow.

I'd say they are gutted :lol!:

People Before Profit-Solidarity has said that it is the only party offering a clear alternative to the current Government by ruling out going into coalition with Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael.

These clowns are like something out of a Monty Python sketch. I'd say Rich Boyd Barrett is the only one of them that will retain their seat.

Hopefully Lombard fails to get a seat, he's a typical big farmer anti environmental FG type.

He'll be hopeful if current swing to FG carries into election. He was well ahead of Holly Cairns on first preferences last time out but Holly (who was only fifth on first count) got transfers from all sides.
Lombard's problem last time out was that his running mate from other side of constituency didn't pull in enough votes and event though she transferred well to him on elimination, he wasn't able to stay ahead of Holly C when SF candidate was eliminated.
In Lombard's favour, Alan Coleman (popular independent cllr) from Lombard's own backyard unlikely to run this time out. He pulled in 1,800 votes or so in 2020 which were vital in denying Lombard.
