He'll be hopeful if current swing to FG carries into election. He was well ahead of Holly Cairns on first preferences last time out but Holly (who was only fifth on first count) got transfers from all sides.
Lombard's problem last time out was that his running mate from other side of constituency didn't pull in enough votes and event though she transferred well to him on elimination, he wasn't able to stay ahead of Holly C when SF candidate was eliminated.
In Lombard's favour, Alan Coleman (popular independent cllr) from Lombard's own backyard unlikely to run this time out. He pulled in 1,800 votes or so in 2020 which were vital in denying Lombard.
