The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

Great news.
Things are definitely on the up again.

Lots of IRFU coaches, helping out in Munster and 2 great short term coaches coming in.

Bleuler is a great joker signing. Solid in everything, great tackler.

Pete is back to his best, full of aggression, just what we need in Castres against those Frog Scum bags.

Thaakir is the business and Daly is on fire.

Great to get Killer and Jager back.

Suddenly the gloom has lifted

Back 3 out of Nash, Daly, Haley and Abrahams is a bit of a conundrum too, in a good way

You can make a strong argument for all of them. Dalys versatility may result in him not starting. I think Kilgallon is a very decent prospect too - I expect him to challenge. Liam Coombes needs some game time to show what he can do but very hard to get into Munsters best 23 now.

Exactly, a great headache. I suspect it might be Haley giving way, but he's so very solid at the back, it really doesn't feel right dropping him.

That's sad, he was a fine player. (presumably) RIP.
Quality player for Wasps back in the day, probably just short of being international standard.

Sad end too. Tried to make it through the water and then tried to swim out of it when it was taken away.

Has he been confirmed dead?
I heard they found a body but didn't know they'd identified him.

Munster: Mike Haley; Calvin Nash, Tom Farrell, Alex Nankivell, Thaakir Abrahams; Jack Crowley, Craig Casey; Dian Bleuler, Niall Scannell, Stephen Archer; Fineen Wycherley, Tadhg Beirne (C); Peter O’Mahony, John Hodnett, Brian Gleeson.

Replacements: Diarmuid Barron, Dave Kilcoyne, Oli Jager, Tom Ahern, Alex Kendellen, Paddy Patterson, Rory Scannell, Jack O’Donoghue.

Daly dropped entirely.
Personally, I don't like the 6/2 split on the bench, so would have had Daly on the bench.
Strong team though
