I wouldn't agree with that at all. They'll still be the team to beat next year. Can't see many retirements bar Mulcahy and he's not in the picture at all this year. Put Peter Casey and Barry Nash back into that team & Adam english and Shane o brien who have shown they have what it takes at this level you've still got a formidable team. Obviously hannons lack of pace is being targeted by teams and there's a fair few around the 30 mark now.
The two retirements that could come first could be surprising ones, and not due to age.
Seamus Flanagan and Cian Lynch, both will have 4 kids at home come the end of the summer.
Honestly can't see how its possible to commit to modern-day IC hurling with 4 small kids at home.

And physical limitations arent why players stop in early 30s. The body is still more than capable, until 36 or 37.
Its the time commitment is the issue.
Lads cant continue to give their lives to IC forever, they have careers, familys, etc to start considering and putting first.

That's a fair point.

Their missus(es) must have the patience of saints.
