It’s doesnt sit well at all that all that 55 grand (probably a lot more) will be spent on putting a fence around Donegal training pitch the same week as they’re talking about taking five counties near the border out of the NHL to save money.

Tbf I think the story is a bit sensational. Their centre of excellence is a fantastic new set up with excellent pitches and dressing rooms/club house but the obvious weakness from the time I was there is that it isn’t fully finished as the pitches aren’t fenced off. It’s open plan a bit like the sports fields in Curraheen. An inter county team couldn’t train properly in that situation. They’d have to close the rest of the center to stop Joe Public walking into training.
