McCurtain Street has a few nice pubs.

The Shelburne
Cork Arms (pool table and duke box)
Dan Lowrey's
Hotel Bar in The Metropole

Nearby, you also have Sin e and The Abbot's Ale House

Those pubs alone would make for an enjoyable afternoon or evening.
