Save Marina Park !

Next to nothing in those conditions.

Are the local group planning a high court challenge, and if so on what basis?

It's probably all steam ahead now so lets make the best of it.

Unlikly to be a judicial review as the costs could potentially huge.

Just like the very poorly designed "new" stadium.

Just like the very poorly designed "new" stadium.

The cost of the new stadium is pretty much a non-issue anymore given how much is being covered by the GAA HQ and government. 10 million isn't a lot to be going into your own pockets for considering junior level clubs have been spending a million on new facilities.

We're bitterly disappointed to see the potential for a world class public park in the docklands irreparably damaged by today's decision by An Bord Pleanála to allow the GAA build a private all-weather playing pitch on land compulsorily purchased with public money for public use.
We hope that the promises made by the GAA in terms of facilities management will be kept. We're looking forward to the City Council ensuring that the development proceeds in accordance with the planning permission set down in the grant of permission.
In the interest of public safety it's good to see that the GAA have to provide public street lighting on the approach routes to their facility.
