The Allies were able to blockade Germany during the First World War but you can't with Russia, they have trade relations with China, India & Turkiye. You can bully small countries like Cuba or larger ones like Venezeuela but Russia is a whole different ball game NATO is not going to be able to impose a sanction regime on the biggest country in the world oh and an other thing no country is food independent we live in an interdependent world I go to a shop plenty of what is in there are inports. We in Ireland have a big farming sector but even we rely on getting foodstuff in from abroad. The Russians won't be scared of Western sanctions.well in fact he is wrong on two layers

edit: I am not sure if you remember "the apple crisis" when russia thought they will "punish" Poland, one of the largest in the world apple producer, with embargo for supporting Georgia. It was the won-goal, as apparently the embargo was painful only short term as approx 70% of export was going to russia. After a short time the export was changed away from russia and since apples are actually a luxury commodity in russia (dessert apples especially).
What active airforce does Russia have now, between fighters and bombers?
That's an interesting take on things. I'm surprised that the Ukrainians haven't destroyed more Russian bridges
