Playstation 3 HDMI Port Problem

When you reset the picture settings on the PS3 it should automatically adjust to tv settings. The best way to find out is plugging it into another TV.
Like, the HDMI port doesn't really fail, but the solder could have come loose on the motherboard, if so its an easy fix, most shops would charge about 30/40 euro.

Im going to try and get through to the currys knowhow 24 helpline to see if they can find out what the problem is.If that doesn't work im going to try and hook my PS3 up to someone else's television.As of now it's a matter of trying to work out is it a problem with the HDMI port or the TV.

yep, that will diagnose the problem fairly quickly

I won't be able to fix it up to another tv until tomorrow but im convinced that the tv is blocking the signal from the PS3 for some reason.

I'd say that's what it is.I doubt it's a problem from the televisions end.It's picking up a HDMI signal from the Xbox 360 no bother.

It doesn't feel loose at all.The right hand side of the metal at the very top of the port seems to be slightly bent though.
