Chiefs v Chargers: Early season bias alert. I want the Chiefs to win the division. Don't care about the Sb, just the division. If they do then each team in the Afc west has 15 division wins and I just love that shit.
High scoring shootout, Mahomes is a good bet in those, defence is a problem though. Chargers will feel they had it there to win. Are you encouraged by that or are you discouraged for failing?
It sounds at least like Herbert is not seriously injured. It's gonna be competitive for playoff spots and they can't afford to lose much ground to him being out.
Browns v Jets: Wtf are the Browns doing. Gift of a 2-0 start and a division lead just went poof. Gonna be a lot of Cowboys fans smirking over Cooper messing up the onside kick. Joe Flacco and the Jets is a match made in football hell but they pull that out of their ass.
Giants v Panthers: Baker still waiting for his first win, but the offense will live or die on McCafferys shoulders, not his. Daniel Jones is truly starting to fill Eli's shoes. He never looks good but somehow they win anyway. Unconventional, but why mess with the formula that got you 2 Superbowls?
Jags v Colts: Might the Jags have a good offence? It's a remarkable concept.
Commanders v Lions: My man Dan, what a game for them. Roll on lads. Commanders showed good fight but hard to take em seriously really. Defence looks especially porous.
Steelers v Patriots: Bill decides to renew his lease on Pittsburgh's head for another year. Pittsburgh need to find some way to void that contract, it's the worst one they ever signed.
Steelers come up short when the opposition isn't massively incompetent.
Dolphins v Ravens: Tua to Tyreke was the big question and they really put down a marker here. Could finally be emerging as a true contender after so long.
Tough loss for the Ravens here, credit to the Dolphhins but the Ravens can't afford to slip up like they did.
Bucs v Saints: They're 2-0 but definitely not vintage Brady performances. Their offence is limping here. Defence has been mauling but hard to see them making a playoff run without improvements.
Saints disappointing, the offence kept threatening but never able to properly pop off.
49ers vs Seahawks: Trey Lance goes down
Garropolo comes in
49ers offence finally comes alive
Wtf do you do now?
Lance was supposed to be the future but things just seemed to go better with Garropolo and now Lance reported gone for the season. Could be just experience but makes you worry for the decisions that are looming. Can you cast off Garropolo if he leads them to the playoffs again?
Seahawks had a comedown from the high emotion of last week and look more like the team we expected.
Bengals v Cowboys: Very worrying for Cincy. Not the record. All other teams in their division are 1-1 but they seem to be missing the touch they had last year. They get it here and there but they're not good enough to be this inconsistent. Against better coached teams than Dallas they will not be close.
Cowboys, better than expected without Dak and defensively very solid but still looks sloppy though, reflects badly on McCarthy, nothing new there. Clock management issues also nothing new.
Texans v Broncos: The Texans look abit better than expected, not great but you wouldn't have expected them to be as competitive in both games. Lovie Smith isnt a great coach but he has always been solid and hes the kind of guy you would like to see doing well but ultimately this team has been decimated and not much expected of it. For the Broncos you need Wilson to show more. Often they don't seem to know what to do on offense, Hackett really seems to look out of his depth. A team this talented shouldn't be so poor.
Rams v Falcons: Should have been a ln easy bounceback for LA, a feast on an iffy team to help them recover from the Bills debacle. Falcons looked meh through the game, they kept trying but it was hard to take them seriously competing for a win and then suddenly back to back turnovers give the Rams a whole load of stress they didnt need.
