NFL Season 22/23

Russ with 340 passing yds . Juedy with 102 from 4 catches and the Broncos still loses against the Seahawks.
Broncos needs to run the ball more successfully to have any chance.
Only week 1 but Chiefs and Bills very strong start.
Chargers are they the sleeper in the other side.
Interesting weekend 2 ahead.

Rewatched the ending of the game, Hackett completely blew it. Give the ball to Wilson, get 6 or 7 yards and then you'll have the range properly.

Interesting situation for Denver. Wilson has shown he can still be the player you needed him to be and that is important. On the flip side, the afc west will be one of the most competitive divisions here, with 3 wild card spots it's not impossible all 4 teams could go to the playoffs.

In that situation you can't afford to lose to teams like Seattle that are in a downswing

Chiefs v Chargers: Early season bias alert. I want the Chiefs to win the division. Don't care about the Sb, just the division. If they do then each team in the Afc west has 15 division wins and I just love that shit.
High scoring shootout, Mahomes is a good bet in those, defence is a problem though. Chargers will feel they had it there to win. Are you encouraged by that or are you discouraged for failing?
It sounds at least like Herbert is not seriously injured. It's gonna be competitive for playoff spots and they can't afford to lose much ground to him being out.

Browns v Jets: Wtf are the Browns doing. Gift of a 2-0 start and a division lead just went poof. Gonna be a lot of Cowboys fans smirking over Cooper messing up the onside kick. Joe Flacco and the Jets is a match made in football hell but they pull that out of their ass.

Giants v Panthers: Baker still waiting for his first win, but the offense will live or die on McCafferys shoulders, not his. Daniel Jones is truly starting to fill Eli's shoes. He never looks good but somehow they win anyway. Unconventional, but why mess with the formula that got you 2 Superbowls? 🤷‍♂️

Jags v Colts: Might the Jags have a good offence? It's a remarkable concept.

Commanders v Lions: My man Dan, what a game for them. Roll on lads. Commanders showed good fight but hard to take em seriously really. Defence looks especially porous.

Steelers v Patriots: Bill decides to renew his lease on Pittsburgh's head for another year. Pittsburgh need to find some way to void that contract, it's the worst one they ever signed.
Steelers come up short when the opposition isn't massively incompetent.

Dolphins v Ravens: Tua to Tyreke was the big question and they really put down a marker here. Could finally be emerging as a true contender after so long.
Tough loss for the Ravens here, credit to the Dolphhins but the Ravens can't afford to slip up like they did.

Bucs v Saints: They're 2-0 but definitely not vintage Brady performances. Their offence is limping here. Defence has been mauling but hard to see them making a playoff run without improvements.
Saints disappointing, the offence kept threatening but never able to properly pop off.

49ers vs Seahawks: Trey Lance goes down ☹️
Garropolo comes in 😬
49ers offence finally comes alive 😃
Wtf do you do now? 🤯
Lance was supposed to be the future but things just seemed to go better with Garropolo and now Lance reported gone for the season. Could be just experience but makes you worry for the decisions that are looming. Can you cast off Garropolo if he leads them to the playoffs again?
Seahawks had a comedown from the high emotion of last week and look more like the team we expected.

Bengals v Cowboys: Very worrying for Cincy. Not the record. All other teams in their division are 1-1 but they seem to be missing the touch they had last year. They get it here and there but they're not good enough to be this inconsistent. Against better coached teams than Dallas they will not be close.
Cowboys, better than expected without Dak and defensively very solid but still looks sloppy though, reflects badly on McCarthy, nothing new there. Clock management issues also nothing new.

Texans v Broncos: The Texans look abit better than expected, not great but you wouldn't have expected them to be as competitive in both games. Lovie Smith isnt a great coach but he has always been solid and hes the kind of guy you would like to see doing well but ultimately this team has been decimated and not much expected of it. For the Broncos you need Wilson to show more. Often they don't seem to know what to do on offense, Hackett really seems to look out of his depth. A team this talented shouldn't be so poor.

Rams v Falcons: Should have been a ln easy bounceback for LA, a feast on an iffy team to help them recover from the Bills debacle. Falcons looked meh through the game, they kept trying but it was hard to take them seriously competing for a win and then suddenly back to back turnovers give the Rams a whole load of stress they didnt need.

Raiders v Cardinals: I had this whole thing, "they're falling off a Kliff" "they're klinging on for dear life"
Kyler Murray just saved Kliff Kingsbury. This was a totally undeserved win from a coaching perspective but two extremely unfortunate fumbles from Renfrow in OT following kn from Murrays heroics has kept them in contention. Maybe they kick on? Kingsbury hasn't been able to before.

For the Raiders thats a brutal loss. They should have won here and failed despite multiple chances to close it out. Probably the best 0-2 team in the league but still 0-2. Coming after the loss to the chargers, they need to to just keep the form that they are able to achieve and close the games out.

Lance out for the season. Similar ankle dislocation/break that Dak had. Expected to make a full recovery.

Broncos are, once again, incredibly frustrating.
25 penalties over the 2 games, which is an almost impossible feat if you think about it.

Saw last quarter of Buccaneers v Saints. Fight totally messed up Saints. That and their QB went full hail Mary mode on balls that were never on and the one time he made it, it was fumbled

Packers vs Bears: As usual tbh. Aaron Rodgers has tallied 5 losses total to them since taking over as starting QB in 2008. An all-time 11 game deficit is now a 9 game lead.

The Bears might be good enough to make the playoffs and the Packers might not, but it's still going to hurt that Rodgers once again walks away with the deeds to Soldier Field in his back pocket.

Bills vs Titans: Spicy. Bills beating up on two big name playoff teams to start the season. With all the money going to Tannehill, the Titans currently resemble the Duke Brothers from the end of Trading Places.

Eagles vs Vikings: Kirk Carousel (I hate yhe fake nickname trope usually but come on like) continues to spin and produce wildly different results. Jalen Hurts looking pretty good. In his style he looks like a levelled off mix of Mahomes/Jackson. He's a worse passer but better runner than Mahomes. And a better passer but worse runner than Jackson. Dont think the team package is quite there... but it is close and when they're heading home at the end of the season don't be surprised if they have a nice playoff scalp to hang on the wall.
