Must.... Own....property....

They shut down entire construction sector during Covid, do you think people will hang around sitting on their asses doing nothing? Poland is booming at the moment BTW, especially construction
Country is broken.
We need rid of FF/FG.
Need an inquiry as to how on earth they ballsed up the housing sector so badly that we've a deficit in supply of 250,000 homes.
Also need a Covid inquiry as to how and why certain decisions were made.

How exactly do you propose to solve the current shortage of new homes etc seeing as the construction industry is currently working at full capacity?

Well?

So what?

We have one of the lowest death rates per capita due to C-19 which is a positive?

Right?

Poles were heading home anyway right after the last property crash.

How exactly do you propose to solve the current shortage of new homes etc seeing as the construction industry is currently working at full capacity?
I literally just told you how to solve it. Poles were not heading home before Covid, Poland left their construction sector opened during Covid and they all fled back, which is positive for racists, but bad for overall construction sector in Ireland

Well?
Go to Bosnia and hold open door days, Bosnians are well regarded in Germany as great construction workers and Bosnia is in conversations in joining EU. Get ahead of the curve, and again, 1 house they occupy, they will build another 10 so don't give me that BS. Copy/paste what Germany did after WW2 to re-build the country, it's not fucking rocket science

Stacky is right, Poles went back before COVID. The ones in the sector who were still here after collapse of the construction business were taking their matters wrapped up. Most of those I know went back because of shady Irish business practices and shit money/conditions comparing to what is offered on the continent.

Irish Times 03-06-23 The latest census results showed the number of Polish people in Ireland has fallen significantly. While Polish remains the largest non-Irish nationality in the country, the numbers have fallen by almost a quarter (24 per cent) since 2016, from 122,515 to 93,680. Give 10% of houses to foreign nationals so they can build homes for us? Sounds like a ponzi scheme of stupid as what if they decide to settle here (there is plenty of work and good pay rates)?

Let's say this is correct, right? What are we going to do to get them back, because they were obviously the ones making a difference?

Sure, let's just keep going as is, do you know that there was 1 apprentice in the latest safe pass course in Cork, 1, I'll repeat, 1, and that's for months
