Minor Hurling 2022

Bride & Malow. draw.
Shandrum beat Catherine’s.
Erins own beat Bishopstown
Killeagh beat Inniscarra
Carrigtwohill & Barrs draw.
Aghada & Ballinhassig draw.

Shandrum. Bride. Killeagh Erins own. Aghada. Barrs go through.

Basically there was a confusin in score boad. Catrig taught they won by a point and barrs taught they drew. Ref had it down that they drew and there was a massive brawl and fighting. Was talking to someone that was there and they said it reminded them of Offaly v clare 1998. The ref was surrounded by ppl from everywhere. So looks barrs through on draw unless something comes from board in meantime.
Mass brawl involving lads from Togher? Surely that’s Fake news.

Shandrum will walk p2, scoring 4-22, 2-26 and 6-18 against decent teams surely that’s not fair. Mallow, st Catherine’s and bride rovers none expected to win it but wouldn’t be too far off all getting a hammering from Newtown

Killeagh supposed to have put up big scores aswelll but Erin’s own missing players against them, bishopstown nearly beat them and inniscarra missing starters on the day apparently and with a lad meant to have gone off with a broken leg after 5 mins. Still a serious team but are well beatable

You make a valid point! It is mazing that Shandrum are so far ahead of every team and the Kiltha Og team that defeated them in last years county final with so many players underage again this year appear much weaker and not involved in knock out hurling in 2022. Of course Jack Leahy and John Ahern are a big loss. However I believe Shandrum are only compelled to go up to Premier 1 if they win the Premier 2 with more or less the same players underage the following year.
