for that bold statement to be true one would first have to actually listen to daytime mainstream radio methinks.... and therein, as the bard would have it, lies the rubYou'd recognise some of his stuff from the radio.
Its on in shops and gyms and cafes and the likes though. I don't generally actively listen to the radio but I hear it out and about.Who actually listens to the radio anymore?

I can honestly say I haven't listened to the radio in 6/7 years!
I'm all Spotify, podcasts and audio books.
I can't imagine many young people listen to the radio.
Is it something that is dying with the older generation like print media or are the listener numbers still good?
We have 6 Music most of the time in the kitchen, they seem to have given up on new music. all 90's nostalgia.Gone are the evenings of listening to Dave Fanning religiously. Long gone.
The only live radio that I listen to nowadays is BBC 5Live and 6Music.
Even though the latter is sliding towards the shit-heap in recent months.
