Live at the Marquee 24

Who actually listens to the radio anymore?
Genuine question.
I can honestly say I haven't listened to the radio in 6/7 years!
I'm all Spotify, podcasts and audio books.

I can't imagine many young people listen to the radio.
Is it something that is dying with the older generation like print media or are the listener numbers still good?

Its on in shops and gyms and cafes and the likes though. I don't generally actively listen to the radio but I hear it out and about.

I know little of the ways of the young folks!

Gone are the evenings of listening to Dave Fanning religiously. Long gone.

The only live radio that I listen to nowadays is BBC 5Live and 6Music.

Even though the latter is sliding towards the shit-heap in recent months.

We have 6 Music most of the time in the kitchen, they seem to have given up on new music. all 90's nostalgia.

Getting Iggy back helps. I'm fairly sick of Craig Charles at this point

Same as that - it's on in the kitchen mainly. I rarely tune in any other time - I used to for Steve Lamacq but his show is basically gone now too and your man, Huw Stephens, seems happy to play an indie disco set with the odd new tune.

I'm sick of Cerys Matthews too. She has to pick some of the most ridiculous shit around to pad out her show.

"He-ere is a ma-aan from Mozambique who farts on a bouzouki while two Greenpeace volunteers cry into a freshly dug hole... and then the new one from Vampire We-eek-en-ed."
