reading this book at the moment.absolutely brillant history of music, clubs and DJing. if your interested in music culture you should read this book.

10/10 so far.

Great book alright.

If you're interested in reading more about the 70s part of things, then I recommend a book called Love Saves The Day by Tim lawrence. It goes into a lot of detail about the origins of disco, and talks about clubs like the Paradise Garage, The Gallery, Teh Loft etc. Great stuff as well.

He's supposed to be writing a sequel about the 80s at the moment as well.

Yep, that was a massive track in the 70s. I'm not crazy about the vocal, but the break is absolutely amazing.

My brother is always blowing on about Chic's book too as a great read. Not sure if it's this one or not - 'EVERYBODY DANCE CHIC and the Politics of Disco
By Daryl Easlea'.
