Immigration Thread

What do you think happened here to have the whole town protesting?

I think it's a shame to have communities in turmoil. For all parties.

I think what gets people's backs up are the hypocrisy and blackout of facts sometimes.

What the Gardai came out is a word salad. When the media describe it reluctantly as a protest against rural crime they are insulting people who know that a lot of these problems are stemming from the uncordinated growth and placements of people there. Not fair on all groups.

I'm sure that the protesters there don't want to be seen as racists as a few posters on here probably do. They are living the experience and seem to have had enough of it.

'Not seeking international protection'.

So they've already been granted international protection? Lol , talk about adding to confusion.

Half explanations only fuel misinformation and speculation.

You either trust those in charge of law and order or you don't. The alleged crime is abhorrent and the most important thing is that the victim here a young child is supported protected and looked after .what is equally as important is that the perpetrator is found and brought to justice. Knowing that the person is non Irish or Irish should be of lesser significance but for some it seems to be the most important thing ,it's not ,let the gardai do their job.

I don't think so, the perp might be an Irish person however how this "irish person" ended up in Ballaghaderreen in down to our shitshow immigration policies and foisting people in tiny villages devoid of integration.
So if it is an Irish person with immigrant parents, what difference does that make?

Surely the issue here is the assault of a child, rather than the family history of the perp?
