If that is the case, why issue descriptions in any crime committed?
People need to be aware of what this scumbag looks like, for safety reasons
We generally don't issue descriptions in emotive cases, unless it is a time sensitive thing like kidnap. Because of vigilantes.

I don't think that description is the best way to keep people safe tbh. It is relatively easy to change what you look like. If there is a dangerous person on the loose then you need to keep a close eye on your children. You can do that without a description.

Their lack of providing information actually contributes more to disinformation.
I don't agree.

There is a certain cohort at the moment who seem to think that they are entitled to ethnicity information in relation to every crime. They aren't.

The guards have issued a statement on this, and you can see from twitter (and from parts of this thread) that the people who desperately wanted this to be an issue that they could use to further a racist agenda are raging about that.
