That happen to Carrigaline United last year, the referees wouldn't ref their home games, proper order too.

and those same referees returned shortly after having been shown extensive CCTV footage which proved no case to answer for Carrigaline. Their colleagues from another referring association passed their "picket" and continued to referee games at the club. The whole thing arising out of agenda someone within that original refereeing assoc. had with the club on an entirely seperate matter. The only ones to suffer were kids from Age 5 to 18, Boys and Girls who had no football for 2 weeks.
Was an apology forthcoming for that or the reputational damage, was it F**k!

Yup. He was in court on December 6th and nothing in the media about it then. GAA have some power alright. Thug should be on jail and given a lifetime ban from coaching. Headbutting a referee in an under 17s game. What a scumbag.

They have to pass legislation.
Any mass brawls like that and ALL teams from that club are suspended for a full year.
No Gaa funding will be given.
No tickets to inter county matches.

I agree, if the entire club are punished it might send out a message,

Legislation is in place to deal with all categories of assault.

I think you are maybe suggesting a change in the punishment under the rules of the GAA.
The real problem is the GAA do not enforce their own rules, especially at divisional board level in Cork anyway. They constantly undermine referees authority and water down refs reports of serious incidents.
Also, those rules are full of lacuna and are unenforceable if legally challenged.

Are you involved with GAA coaching in a club.
Suspend the team and management involved, perfect but taking it out on all ages of the club that are totally innocent is silly and a total non runner.

What other sports suspend, remove funding for all teams in a club because of the actions of one team
